About this page

What this page is.

The protocol registry lists institutional studies currently open, in analysis or in reporting. It is a register of work, not a recruitment campaign: several of these studies are closed to enrollment and remain listed because their follow-up continues.

01

How a study reaches this list

Every study is reviewed and approved by the Research Oversight Committee before it begins, and remains subject to continuing review. A study appears here once approved and stays until reporting is complete. Status labels — recruiting, active, analysis, reporting, enrollment complete — describe where the work actually is.

02

What participation involves

Eligibility is determined by the research team, never by a treating clinician's discretion. Participation is voluntary, may be withdrawn at any time and is entirely separate from clinical care decisions. Most studies add assessment to visits a patient was already attending.

What is not published here

Operational protocol detail, participant information and interim results are not published on these pages. Completed work is reported through the AREOLA institutional archive and the annual Research Report.
