01

Access to services

AREOLA provides care and services without unlawful discrimination, including on the basis of race, colour, national origin, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, veteran status or source of payment.

02

Language and disability access

Interpretation and accessibility accommodations are arranged at no cost to the patient. Patients should not be asked to bring their own interpreter, and a family member is not a substitute for one in a clinical conversation.

03

Employment

The same principles apply to recruitment, employment, promotion and the treatment of employees, and are described further in the Careers section.

04

Raising a concern

Concerns may be raised through National Patient Services or directly with the Office of Legal & Compliance. Reports are reviewed by that office rather than by the team a concern relates to.
