What is measured
The current institutional measure set covers completion of 30-day follow-up (97.4 percent in 2025, against a network goal of at least 95), care questions answered in understandable language (96.1 percent), complete plate-plan documentation (99.2 percent) and Annual Plate Check participation (84.7 percent of the eligible cohort).
Network and center views
Every measure is reviewed both nationally and by center. Variation between centers prompts review rather than a performance conclusion: a lower figure at one center may reflect case mix, a travelling patient population or a data practice, and the review is what establishes which.
Who reviews the results
The Clinical Quality Council reviews measures quarterly; the Board Quality & Safety Committee reviews them as part of its oversight; the Patient Advisory Council reviews the patient-experience measures. Research questions arising from the data go to the Research Oversight process separately.
What the measures do not claim
These are process and experience measures across a four-year trend that begins in 2022. They describe how consistently AREOLA does what it says it does. They are not a prediction of any individual result.
