Satin, brushed, high polish and bead-blasted surfaces give the steel family more range than patients expect from the most restrained material in the portfolio. Bead-blasted and satin finishes age the most evenly, which is why they recur in plans for physically active patients and for anyone who would rather not think about maintenance.

Clinical plate design.
Steel is the family against which every other option is compared, and it carries the widest profile range in the portfolio. Planning usually starts by establishing whether the objective is for the result to be unremarkable — in which case the conversation rarely leaves this family — or whether surface character matters enough to accept a different maintenance relationship.
Long-term system care.
