What the line is for
The Clinician-to-Clinician Line at 334-209-7090 connects an outside clinician with an AREOLA specialist for a specific question: whether a patient's situation warrants referral, how a system relates to a planned imaging study, or what a documented plate plan means in practice.
How it works
Calls are triaged by the National Referral Center and routed to a specialist by subject rather than by center. Straightforward questions are usually answered the same day; questions requiring record review are scheduled and confirmed.
Boundaries
A consultation is advisory. It does not establish a clinician-patient relationship with AREOLA, does not transfer responsibility for the patient, and does not substitute for referral where an in-person evaluation is what the situation actually calls for.
Records
Consultations are documented institutionally. Where a patient is subsequently referred, the consultation record accompanies the referral so the conversation does not have to start again.
