About the story program

Patients who choose to participate describe their own experience in their own words, reviewed with them before publication and withdrawn at their request at any time. Names appear as a first name and last initial, and identifying details are limited by agreement.

02

How to read them

These are individual accounts, not outcomes data. They are published because patients consistently ask what the process felt like for someone else — a question that clinical pages answer poorly and that quality measures do not answer at all.

Participating

Established patients interested in the program can contact Patient Experience through Patient Services. Participation is voluntary, unpaid and entirely separate from clinical care; declining has no effect on your care in any respect.
