SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA — AREOLA has opened an expanded Sonoran Center in Scottsdale, adding recovery capacity and a dedicated Clinical Plate Design suite to the regional center that has served the Southwest since joining the network.
Built around a travelling patient population
The expansion responds to a specific regional pattern: a high proportion of Sonoran Center patients travel several hours or more for care, which makes same-visit design consultation considerably more valuable than it is at centers serving a dense local population.
The new design suite allows measurement, material selection and planning to be completed alongside clinical evaluation where appropriate, reducing the number of separate journeys a travelling patient must make. Additional recovery capacity supports the same objective.
The center serves approximately 570 patients annually and maintains a general consultation window of three to five weeks. Clinical leadership continues under Jonathan Mercer, MD, with operations led by Meghan Ross, RN.
