01

Development history

National implementation was completed in 2022, replacing center-held records. It is the platform that makes a plan documented at one center legible at another, and is the reason a plan from years earlier can still be read at revision.

02

Clinical use

Used by the physician, the Clinical Plate Design Specialist and the patient together during planning. The same record supports fabrication, follow-up, the Annual Plate Check and any later change to an interchangeable collection.

03

Governance and published detail

Maintained by Clinical Informatics under Clinical Operations. Its effect on patient understanding is studied under a Clinical Innovation research protocol rather than assumed.

AREOLA publishes purpose, governance and patient experience for its clinical technology. Construction drawings, manufacturing specifications, operational parameters and procedural instructions are not published.
