Tell the imaging team you have a plate system
Before any imaging study, tell the department that you have an implanted plate system and give the material and attachment type. Your Plate Identification Card and MyAREOLA record both carry this information, which is the practical reason AREOLA asks patients to keep the card accessible.
Different systems, different considerations
Material, attachment type and whether a magnetic interface is present all matter to an imaging department's planning. AREOLA does not publish blanket statements about specific studies, because the correct answer depends on the system, the study and the equipment involved.
When an outside team has questions
Imaging departments may contact the Clinician-to-Clinician Line at 334-209-7090 for system information. AREOLA can supply the registered device record for your system directly to a clinician with your authorization, usually within one business day.
