Care in Scottsdale

What this center is known for.

The Sonoran Center was expanded in 2026 in direct response to its patient population: a high proportion travel several hours or more, which makes a second trip for design consultation a real burden rather than an inconvenience. Added recovery capacity and a dedicated Clinical Plate Design suite let much of the pathway happen in a single visit.

Every center works to the same clinical standards, uses the same digital planning record and draws on the national materials and plate laboratory in Philadelphia.

01

Single-visit planning

Where it is clinically appropriate, evaluation, measurement, design consultation and financial review are completed in one visit, with the documented plan finalized before the patient travels home.

02

Recovery capacity

The 2026 expansion added recovery capacity specifically for patients who should not travel immediately after a procedure.

03

Interchangeable systems

MagnePlate planning is well represented in the case mix, including patients who return periodically to add to a registered collection.

Consultation

First appointments, second opinions and planning conversations with a replacement specialist and nurse.

Surgery

Procedures performed in the center's surgical suite, with perioperative nursing and anesthesia support.

MagnePlate

Interface planning, registered external plate collections and interchangeable-system review.

Revision

Assessment and elective planning where a previous plate, system or replacement result already exists, including changes in preference.

01

Center leadership

Jonathan Mercer, MD, leads the center clinically alongside his practice in Dallas. Meghan Ross, RN, is Regional Nurse Manager and holds day-to-day operational leadership, which for a center with a travelling population is the role that determines whether a visit works.

02

The care team

Replacement specialists, perioperative and recovery nursing, patient coordination and an on-site clinical plate design suite.

03

Visiting this center

General consultation windows run three to five weeks. The center draws from Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico and southern California, and coordinators plan visits on the assumption that the patient is travelling — including realistic guidance on when it is safe to fly home.
