What you will do.
- Receive, label, log and route approved research samples and materials according to laboratory procedures.
- Prepare work areas, routine supplies and qualified equipment for scheduled laboratory activity.
- Enter required records, reconcile sample status and identify missing or inconsistent documentation.
- Support nonclinical surface observations, inventory checks and archive organization under supervision.
- Maintain housekeeping, safety and waste-separation standards appropriate to the assigned laboratory areas.
How you will work.
No AREOLA role operates alone. This position maintains close working relationships with:
- Materials Scientists and Medical Metals Specialists
- Laboratory Quality and Research Operations
- Plate Laboratory teams for controlled sample transfer
- Research coordinators and institutional safety partners
What you bring.
Required experience
- Associate degree, technical certificate or relevant laboratory experience.
- Ability to follow written procedures and maintain accurate sample-level documentation.
- Comfort with routine laboratory tools, digital records and repetitive precision work.
- Reliability, curiosity and willingness to ask before proceeding when a record or sample is unclear.
Helpful additional experience
- Coursework or experience in materials science, chemistry, biology, metallurgy or laboratory technology.
- Experience with sample-management, inventory or quality systems.
- Familiarity with metals, surface inspection or research documentation.
Your first year.
Qualify on assigned sample, documentation, safety and laboratory-readiness procedures.
Independently support the routine laboratory schedule with accurate status records.
Help improve a sample-tracking, archive, supply or laboratory-readiness process.
